Regrets and Hesitation.

Quite an unfortunate fate, Guess I was a few seconds late, You shrieked at the second one you ate, Rushed when I saw you lying at the gate. Called out the ambulance at once, Could've stopped the bleeding, You halted the twitching of your hands, I hesitated to do what you were needing. Regrets filled my brain with so much doubt, Questioning how I could've helped you out, Didn't even check your pulse since you were down, All it made me was frown. "You could've been hurt too." "Be glad you weren't early." They told me, comforted me dearly, Still I questioned, "Could I have saved you?"
