The Cloud and the Girl

she looks at the sky that's crying onto her
wondering who hurt it
she knew it wasn't happy tears because she
saw the explicit lightning and the roaring thunder
fearing whether a broken cloud would hurt others to help itself heal, she ran
she ran as far as the wind blew
she ran as far as the storm grew
she ran too far away only to realize she was running towards the cloud itself
the broken cloud looked upon itself like a vending machine filled with self pity
and it gave out items with merely a look
even though the cloud wanted to runaway
it had to go the way wind took it
being given the freedom to fly, but not anywhere
the cloud trying to ask itself
"am i worth this place?"
"is anyone benefitting?"
she smiles at the cloud
the cloud showered her with affection
thunders dumbed down,
lightning blinded off,
it's like it has reached terminal velocity in life,  going somewhere but not accelerating,
feels like something is dragging me down
and as the rains slows down,
as it sheds its last tear
its words baffle her.
"Even while doing good, I'm trying to keep my happiness in others, an occasional shed of tears isn't bad... don't lose hope even if the sky collapses, you'll still fly high. Appreciate what everyone's doing, understand what everyone's going through, embrace mistakes so you learn from them."
she couldn't interpret its words but she did say,
"The sun will shine upon you again my friend."
it looks at her and smiles and says
"The sun that shines to you gives darkness to others somewhere."
and it bids its last goodbye.
as she still ponders why a feeling like that could exist,
it strikes her that a balance is supposed to be maintained.
as her vision blurs, she heard a soft voice in her head,
"Nothing ever happens without a reason,
stopping to question the reason does good sometimes,
a depth of knowledge always comes with a burden of weight that makes you impart it on others,
a unique ability that you have sometimes keeps you away from the ones you love,
the one thing that makes you human also makes you doubt yourself.
the day you stop doubting yourself and start doubting the surroundings
is the day you start finding happiness
the day you can look at the mirror without blur is the day you find happiness
the day you look at death with class is the day you realize you need to achieve something in life to be worthy of it.
the day you will give something dear to you as a split second decision for someone you love the most, is the day you've matured.
the day you don't find satisfaction in materialistic things is the day you'll find home."
and she rests, she rests and she rests.
